Jafa Theatre is the brainchild of Deb and Doug Colquhoun.

Creating small stage intimate theatre , Jafa aims to involve the local community in legitimate theatre, as well as providing training and support for local actors, directors, writers and crew.

Deb Colquhoun has worked for almost thirty years in theatre, film and television, making regular appearances with the Australian Shakespeare Company, Australian films Evil Angels and Four Minute Mile as well as a number of television productions. Deb is highly regarded as as a director by many in the industry, her ablilty in this area leading to her being invited to the National Institute of Drama (N.I.D.A.) in 2006.

Doug Colquhoun is a writer/actor/director who is highly regarded both here and internationally. He has worked on   International and Australian projects including Highlander (the original), The Term of His Natural Life and Total Recall, as well as a number of stage productions. Currently Doug has projects with Geoff Wright (Romper Stomper) and Kevin J Tran (The Quiet American).
