Through the continued support of Arts Victoria ArtsNet have secured funding for a professionally edited and produced arts showcase.

gerald is an innovative new project which will offer a high profile outlet to the underexposed resource of talents in the region.

gerald will be an annual publication which will showcase the literary and creative works of East Gippsland.

The publication is designed to create an opportunity for seeing works in print for the first time and an archive of current and recent creations from all corners of the region. It will take the form of a glossy, perfect bound, professionally produced and printed magazine and is to incorporate both text and image.

Submissions to the inaugural issue of gerald have now closed. In 2008, we will again be seeking works from emerging artists and professionals within East Gippsland Shire and it's immediate surrounds to be considered for gerald 2.
 
Contributions will be accepted unsolicited and will be published after being selected by an editing panel of seasoned artists in each of the fields represented. The magazine will be made available to the public as well as galleries, universities, libraries, writers' centres and industry representatives within East Gippsland and well beyond.

Submissions are open to both emerging and professional painters, photographers, artisans, cartoonists, sculptors, poets, video artists essayists, novelists, illustrators and to whatever your definition as to what constitutes art and culture in the 21st century.

All contributions will be accepted for consideration.
